About the role
- Develop and execute sales strategies to identify, pursue, and close high-value new-customer deals.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives.
- Lead direct sales efforts and channel-driven initiatives to expand reach and accelerate revenue.
- Conduct discovery conversations to uncover customer pain points and translate them into tailored solution strategies.
- Prepare business cases, solution briefs, presentations, demos, proposals, license agreements, and statements of work.
- Collaborate with Channel Sales Executives, Marketing, Product, and Customer teams for pipeline and onboarding alignment.
- Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing.
- Apply a structured sales process, deliver tailored demonstrations, and present ROI-focused value propositions.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with customer advocates and manage post-sale activities with Customer and Accounting teams.
- Contribute field insights to go-to-market strategy and support marketing campaigns and events.
- Become knowledgeable on the NorthStar CCM platform to deliver user experience demonstrations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of demonstrated success in Customer Communications Management (CCM) platform sales.
- At least 5+ years of full-cycle sales experience, including selling software or cloud-based applications.
- Proven experience in the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry, with strong knowledge of SaaS business models, customer lifecycle management, and best practices for driving engagement and retention.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated drive and consistent achievement or surpassing of sales targets.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a natural hunter mentality and strong ownership of business decisions.
- Persuasive communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Gong.
- Experience preparing business cases, solution briefs, presentations, proposals, license agreements, and statements of work.
