About the role
- Day to day office management of our New York City space
- Guide hiring managers on recruitment and candidate experience
- Support People operations – drafting agreements, maintaining compliance with federal and state laws, and supporting employee relations
- Monitor federal and state regulatory changes and ensure organizational compliance
- Contribute to People projects: performance, progression, benefits, goal setting, training
- Support annual employee survey and biannual performance review cycles
- Onboard new joiners and elevate existing practices
- Create & implement MUBI policies and guidance
- Organize team events and connection activities
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a People/HR function in a fast paced environment
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and practices
- An understanding of People challenges that the business might be facing at this stage of our growth, and a drive to propose potential courses of action
- A growth mindset
- Empathy to enable team progression
- Experience supporting projects that create more efficient processes
- Strong communication skills
- Experience or familiarity using HR tools: HiBob, JustWorks, Deel, Ashby
