Social Media Manager

• Support and execute MoveOn’s day-to-day social media presence across MoveOn’s multiple channels.
• Draft, edit, and adapt social copy in line with brand voice and platform best practices and carry out research and fact-checking as needed.
• Curate content that is aligned with our messaging and campaigns goals, as well as optimized for success based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support the social and content teams in coordination around the content production process.
• Coordinate social post programming schedule across platforms.
• Publish and schedule content using platform-specific best practices and social management tools.
• Continuously optimize content based on performance data, platform trends, and audience insights.
• Track key content and social performance metrics on an ongoing basis.
• Compile weekly performance summaries highlighting engagement trends, top-performing content, and optimization opportunities to inform future content planning.
• Monitor and engage in designated MoveOn Slack channels & field drafting and publishing requests from MoveOn Communications and Program staff members.

Temporary Social Media Coordinator

Learning and Development

• Project manage MoveOn’s 2026 electoral and skill-building training programs, including launching and facilitating cross-org project meetings, and project coordination.
• Work with the Volunteer Network Director and various program teams to identify training needs, develop training objectives, create content, and facilitate training programs.
• Collaborate with relevant teams across the organization to make training content across multiple platforms, such as Zoom, Instagram reels, TikTok videos.
• Work with Organizing team members to identify and create electoral training programs based on a needs assessment initiated by the Training Manager.
• Ensure all training material meets MoveOn’s high standard of accessibility and general practices.
• Maintain the catalogue of available resources and trainings for members.
• Build upon a regular reporting system to keep the organization informed about programming including but not limited to the number of people trained, training topics, conversion rates, etc.
• Other tasks as assigned by the line management structure.

Temporary Training Manager

Program Manager

• Produce programming for the volunteer network at MoveOn.
• Recruit, engage, retain and inspire members to take action.
• Create and facilitate programming and community spaces.
• Support the overall goals of member-driven, progressive campaigns.
• Provide vital support to the volunteer network infrastructure and 2026 election program.
• Directly manage the Volunteer Network Coordinator.
• Monitor and report on volunteer network health metrics.
• Manage and facilitate MoveOn’s monthly community calls.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure content is accessible across multiple platforms.

Executive Assistant

• Seek and secure positive news media coverage for the organization
• Produce or assist in the creation of products for media and external affairs audiences
• Coordinate, book and prepare external spokesperson for interviews
• Proactively pitch journalists and respond to media inquiries
• Keep abreast of the news cycle to stay current on press opportunities
• Design and implement media plans for priority program work
• Work with program staff to support media-related requests
• Support development of messaging and talking points
• Coordinate press events or support press events planning
• Maintain key relationships with national media and manage press lists
• Monitor media clips and compile and distribute media reports
• Liaise with campaign, compliance, and leadership team members

Press Secretary

Chief of Staff

• Support the Executive Director in setting organizational vision, strategy, and priorities; and manage the organization to achieve the organization’s mission
• Lead the organization’s strategic and annual planning process
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Executive Department, including providing high-level support to the Executive Director and ensuring their portfolios and special projects are carried out successfully
• Lead the Senior Management Team in driving performance, accountability, and excellence across the organization, ensuring that people, budget, processes, and programs are working in sync with one another
• Work with the Senior Management Team to ensure strong collaboration among departments, teams, and staff to drive our program and maximize our impact
• Create a clear and consistent strategy for internal communications across all channels that promotes employee understanding, collaboration, engagement, and alignment with organizational priorities
• Refine and maintain transparent internal communication processes, systems, and norms to ensure that staff have the information they need
• Organize convenings of and communications among senior leadership, cross-organizational bodies, and staff to ensure strong internal coordination and alignment
• Support the achievement of our mission by monitoring and reporting the organization’s priorities and its progress toward goals
• Support organizational learning by ensuring consistent debrief session implementation and follow-up to learn from our work and the movement
• Work with the Managing Director of People and Chief Operating officer on organizational development interventions, including change management, culture-building, organizational and team building, and other interventions to engage staff
• Create and support spaces and practices within the organization that improve collaboration, and move through roadblocks to achieve objectives
• Serve as a thought partner and sounding board to the Executive Director, other senior leaders, and a resource for all staff to voice ideas, suggestions, and/or concerns
• Oversee the planning and implementation of in-person gatherings
• Act as a surrogate for the ED both internally and externally as needed with key external stakeholders (e.g. partners, the press, donors, etc)
• Partner closely with the Executive Director and the Executive Assistant to the ED to ensure that the ED’s time and priorities are aligned
