About the role

  • Support new customer relationships both within partner and end-user communities
  • Help achieve sales, profitability, and customer recruitment objectives and represent the entire range of company products and services
  • Co-develop materials and conduct training for company products for the channel
  • Proactively drive and manage the technology phase of the sales process, and reporting
  • Support 3rd party technology integration partners with training and product understanding on combined solutions
  • Co-develop presentation material with the sales team and perform technical presentations to the channel and end-users
  • Drive proof of concept and registered projects with the sales team including providing end of evaluation reports
  • Liaise between helpdesk, sales and the channel on technical questions during the sales process
  • Provide technical support and set up at trade shows; travel to trade shows, conferences, and client locations
  • Reports to Director of Channel Support while operating as an independent, self-managing leader

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in one of the following: Sales, Engineering, or Solutions Architecture
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Experience providing business-to-business technology/physical security/HVAC technical support
  • Proficient knowledge of security and/or building automation products
  • Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise systems, IoT and Machine Learning a plus
  • Experience with supporting enterprise solutions
  • Effective understanding and experience with the corporate culture, environment, and decision processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to express technical concepts in simplified ways
  • Independent, self-disciplined and a problem solver
  • Helpful attitude and team centric, accountable, and takes initiative
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within the designated region
