About the role
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and provide feedback during the development process.
- Collaborate with product owners to define test objectives, strategies, and test plans for Salesforce projects; create & execute detailed test cases and test scripts (inclusive of applicable regressions) based on business requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation and own test planning, documentation, and execution activities.
- Identify, document, and report defects and issues with steps to reproduce and severity assessment.
- Manage and maintain test data, ensuring data integrity and relevance for testing purposes.
- Contribute to the overall quality assurance process, including test process improvements, test automation initiatives, and adoption of best practices.
- Be available for standups and misc business calls during scheduled timing (typically early PST hours).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM platform and configurations (Sales & Service Cloud) with solid SFDC admin skills.
- 2-4 years of experience (preferred) in manual software testing (preferably with a focus on Salesforce CRM).
- Passion for QA & Strong understanding of the Quality Assurance concepts & processes.
- Attention to detail and solid documentation & communications skills (clear, concise & comprehensive test planning, case creation, defect reporting and collaboration with cross-functional teams).
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies & relevant tools (eg Jira, TestRail etc.).
- A team player who can step in, take ownership & adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder) are a plus.
- Understanding of automated test tools like provar/Selenium is a bonus.
- Be available for standups & misc business calls during scheduled timing (typically early PST hours).
