Engineer

• You will lead the identification and development of both legacy and new packaging and shipping solutions for our products.
• Focus on the packaging and shipping of manufactured goods, including package and crate design.
• Collaborating on inbound packaging design with suppliers to ensure MKS optimizes space and adheres to sustainable environmental solutions.
• Design and develop product crates, skids, and the incorporation of hardware and materials to ensure effective and robust end-to-end transportation.
• The identification of legacy packaging for consolidation to reduce cost through evaluating packaging and labeling requirements across all MKS Business units.
• Translate contract requirements and write packaging SOPs as well as detailed ROI analysis to finance.
• Develop material handling solutions for internal use.
• Identify packaging materials (days of supply) and collaborate with external suppliers to minimize cost and storage of packaging materials.
• Evaluate Special Packaging Instruction (SPI) requirements and translate those into packing and storage solutions.
• Keep up to date on related packaging industry best practices and technological advancements.
• Ability to obtain a visa for international travel.
