About the role
- Ensure the consistent application of Human Resources programs and policies, including employment, compensation, staffing strategies, benefits, training, payroll, and employee relations
- Partner with HR leadership and client group leadership to manage organizational planning, including job descriptions, skills assessments, and career development
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to streamline recruitment and onboarding for hourly and salaried positions; support interviews, events, and new hire orientation
- Conduct and coordinate training sessions for leaders and employees on HR compliance, leadership development, and policies/procedures
- Counsel leaders and employees on job-specific and developmental training opportunities and career growth
- Support retention efforts by tracking and analyzing KPIs (hiring, turnover, retention, overtime), conducting exit interviews, and advising on retention strategies
- Investigate and support resolution of employee concerns, including performance, conduct, and attendance issues; mediate workplace conflicts and provide guidance on disciplinary procedures and documentation
- Provide guidance to leaders, supervisors, and employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs; respond to inquiries and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws
- Assist in the development and review of HR policies and ensure appropriate communication across employee groups
- Manage leaves of absence, including FMLA and discretionary leaves; coordinate ADA interactive processes and determine accommodations
- Prepare and process HR documentation across functional areas (new hires, promotions, terminations, disciplinary actions)
- Support unemployment claim responses and documentation preparation
- Maintain accurate records through HRIS and timekeeping systems; monitor data for reporting and compliance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of three to five years HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing facility
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, business or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of appropriate legislation pertaining to employment (Federal and State law), compensation and benefits, and other HR functions
- Must be comfortable working in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
- Willing to work flexible hours as needed to support operations
- Experience with FMLA, leave management, ADA interactive process and accommodations
- Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems, payroll-related HR documentation, and unemployment claim responses
- Strong employee relations, conflict resolution, investigation, and disciplinary documentation skills
- Experience conducting training, onboarding, and targeted selection interviews
