About the role

  • Own projects end-to-end, making decisions on technical and business implications
  • Build and create with JavaScript across the platform (React front-ends and Node backends)
  • Build delightful user experiences in React and power them with a reliable backend in Node
  • Investigate and debug issues using monitoring & logging tools and create action items to resolve them
  • Participate in code reviews and interview new team members to maintain a high technical bar
  • Collaborate with the team to define the roadmap by thoroughly understanding customers’ needs
  • Work autonomously with support from the team when needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-time software engineering experience, ideally full-stack
  • Experience building scalable production-level applications
  • Experience working with Node / JS, React (or similar framework) and MongoDB / NoSQL
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and break large solutions into smaller tasks
  • Ability to balance speed and quality; tolerate technical debt and refactor later
  • Natural curiosity to stay up to date with new technologies and emerging Fintech trends
  • (Application asks) Authorization to work in the United States or indicate visa sponsorship status
  • Extra (nice-to-have): Experience in Finance / FinTech
  • Extra (nice-to-have): Experience building data pipelines
  • Extra (nice-to-have): Knowledge of payment rails such as ACH, RTP, etc.
  • Extra (nice-to-have): DevOps experience with AWS, Cloudflare, and CI/CD tools
