• Establish and maintain the organisation’s risk management framework, aligned with group policies and EU regulatory expectations
• Identify, assess, and monitor key risk categories including: operational risk, regulatory risk, ICT and cybersecurity risk, third-party and outsourcing risk, financial crime risk
• Develop and maintain the organisation’s risk appetite framework and risk monitoring processes
• Prepare regular risk reports and dashboards for senior management and the Board

Head of Risk and Regulatory Compliance

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Oversee daily liquidity across banks, acquirers, exchanges, and wallets, including review of funding requirements and liquidity forecasts to ensure operational continuity.
• Approve and supervise fund transfers between banks, exchanges, and wallets.
• Own month-end financial data integrity, including review and approval of acquirer, bank, exchange, wallet, and data warehouse postings.
• Review and approve reconciliations (banks, exchanges, wallets, clearing accounts), investigate discrepancies, and ensure completeness and accuracy prior to reporting submission.
• Act as bank payment approver and maintain strong segregation of duties.
• Oversee and control access rights across financial platforms.
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate liquidity and operational risks.

• Own the end-to-end user experience across all Mercuryo products: on-ramp, off-ramp, cards, swaps, recurring buys, dashboards, etc.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the product design team
• Improve and maintain the design system to make it clear, consistent, and easy to scale
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, data analysts, and customer success to integrate design into every stage of product development
• Implement and maintain workflows that connect designers with the rest of the team (engineers, PMs, data analysts, business analysts, compliance)
• Apply AI tools to help designers move faster and make smarter decisions, like collecting feedback, creating prototypes, and testing usability
• Contribute to strategy by surfacing user insights and turning them into actionable design opportunities
• Ensure UX quality at every release - from new features to UX debt fixes
• Represent the voice of the user in internal discussions and ensure empathy is built into every interaction

Product Design Lead

• Provide advisory and methodological support on: international taxation; cross-border transactions; taxation in foreign jurisdictions.
• Prepare analytical materials and tax memos for internal stakeholders.
• Participate in tax reporting processes independently and together with foreign service providers.
• Support timely tax payments across jurisdictions.
• Perform initial arm’s length analysis of intercompany transactions.
• Assess the need for transfer pricing studies in relevant jurisdictions and initiate them when required.
• Coordinate external tax and accounting service providers.
• Monitor tax law changes in countries of presence and assess their potential impact.

Product Manager

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle for local payment integrations (discovery → requirements → delivery → optimization).
• Lead new integrations with ACH, alternative payment methods for African and Asian countries, and other local methods needed for global expansion.
• Drive expansion of new product verticals where cryptocurrency can unlock additional value for our clients.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, risk, operations and commercial teams to ensure viable and compliant product delivery.
