Key member of Medtronic’s center-led Indirect Supply Management (ISM) team reporting to the ISM Ops Network leader
Assigned specific manufacturing sites with direct responsibility for identifying, initiating, and executing improvement projects that reduce spend and generate value within the MRO category
Partner with center-led category management teams to implement pan-Medtronic procurement strategies and provide input for future strategies
Engage and influence stakeholders across functions, regions, and businesses in a matrixed organization
Represent and share network and site-specific requirements with center-led category management
Partner with legal, finance, quality/compliance to support supply management
Ensure manufacturing sites are supported via stakeholder engagement, dashboards, site-level diagnostics, and workshops to identify savings opportunities
Manage supplier quality and ensure supply continuity
Educate on key indirect supply management initiatives and policies
Develop data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency for sourcing cost reduction
Initiate and implement category strategy changes and conduct internal/external benchmark and gap analyses
Lead supplier negotiation efforts
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience (or advanced degree with minimum 2 years)
Category Management experience in MRO or Operations categories (nice to have)
Highly proficient in Excel
Highly proficient in PowerPoint
Highly proficient in Power BI
Ability to manage and influence stakeholders
Collaborative team player
Critical thinking skills
Exceptional communication skills (both written and in person)
Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, or operations (5+ years preferred for some backgrounds)
