Plan, direct, and lead all sales and sales training activities for specified district
Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Develop and execute accurate and ongoing sales plans to achieve sales objectives
Maintain and consistently grow market share across all vascular product lines
Leverage the full product portfolio to maximize district sales revenue and share performance
Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue and profitability for the district
Manage, coach, develop, retain, and evaluate field employees through field rides and performance management
Hire, onboard, train, mentor, and retain sales representatives within the district
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback through quarterly field rides and performance measurements
Assist Area Director of Sales in establishing plan quotas and provide input on compensation design
Ensure sales and marketing programs are communicated, implemented, and coordinated in the district
Ensure effective collaboration between district team and internal partners, and maintain key account relationships
Monitor and control district expenses and ensure administrative work is completed on time
Maintain high level of product knowledge and relevant medical information for self and reports
Attend clinical meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate and leverage clinical resources
Work closely with Clinical Specialist teams and vascular leadership to ensure contracts are leveraged to drive growth
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years professional medical device sales experience - OR- Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years sales and leadership experience
Prior experience leading field sales teams in the medical device industry (preferred)
Track record of success in medical device sales
Experience with sales and personnel management functions
Knowledge of pacing or interventional cardiology customer base (desired)
Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas (desired)
Required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy (driving record will be reviewed)
Ability to travel domestically over 50% by automobile, plane, or other forms of transportation
Ability to lift 20 pounds and conduct physical job duties (sit/stand/walk 6-8 hours/day)
Ability to wear lead apron for long periods (2-3hrs on average) and work in Cath Labs and/or O.R. with radiation exposure
Ability to conduct company business outside of the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm schedule
Must comply with hospital/clinic credentialing requirements for patient-facing field employees
