Conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic's CRM pacing products to existing and competitive customers
Implement quarterly sales plan and achieve sales goals and objectives
Maintain knowledge of diverse Medtronic products and support sales efforts
Coordinate customer activities at meetings and assist with administrative reporting (expense reports, account profiles and analysis, daily planners, competitive updates, and inventory log)
Provide ongoing field intelligence on competitive activity, market changes, distribution, and pricing
Cost-effectively manage time and assets and maintain adequate trunk stock inventory; assist in reallocation and delivery of product
Effectively utilize sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs
Train and educate existing and competitive customers; maintain proficient product knowledge and advise customers on product performance
Provide 24-hour territory coverage and be available for on-call responsibilities
Travel frequently to customer clinics, hospitals and offsite meetings and transport equipment as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
3 years medical sales experience (selling physician preference products) in hospital or specialty clinic environment OR 1 year Medtronic CRM Clinical Specialist experience plus two years previous work experience
Valid driver's license
Active vehicle insurance policy
Driving record will be reviewed
Must reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory
Ability to travel extensively with ease (approx. 10% of time)
Provide 24-hour territory coverage (including holidays, weekends, evenings) and be regularly on-call
Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings
Ability to transport product/equipment from car to hospital
Continuous verbal and written communication
Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day
Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease and radiation
Demonstrable sales performance (preferred)
5+ years medical sales experience selling to interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists or cardiothoracic surgeons (preferred)
Preference for local candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience
