About the role

Define, describe, diagram and document high-level technological and human components to provide cost effective innovative solutions
Promote, guide and govern architectural practice and provide architecture mentorship
Support full lifecycle management of IT portfolio including selection, enhancement and replacement of applications, infrastructure and services
Architect and implement Price Optimizer solutions across pricing and contracting systems and ensure cohesive system integration
Serve as trusted advisor bridging Pricing & Contracting and IT to ensure stakeholders understand how solutions and data drive business decisions
Translate business needs into solution architecture plans and explain implementation approach
Lead discovery sessions, gather requirements, define documentation and own user acceptance testing
Ensure solutions comply with regulatory and data privacy standards
Provide subject matter expertise on pricing related solutions and best practices
Analyze complex challenges and deliver clear actionable solutions; identify opportunities for process improvement
Participate in agile meetings, provide solution design and guidance to developers and testers
Build expertise in Medtronic products, customers, and markets to deliver relevant solutions
Evaluate Deal Analysis current state tools and champion IT solutions that add value for customers and patients
Align work with Chief Architect to drive consistency across global architecture
Work from Medtronic facility located in Fridley or Mounds View, Minnesota; onsite 4 days a week; travel ~5%

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree
Strongly Preferred: Solid understanding of system design and development lifecycles
Experience implementing technologies that span automation, Pricing, Quoting and Contracting
Experience in Quote-To-Cash transformation journey in at least 2 large implementation cycles
Experience with Quote-To-Cash software and IT SDLC lifecycle
Preference for technical development skillset in Visual Studio, .NET, Java, Python
Able to read technical codes, or sequence diagram and pseudo-code when necessary
Solid background in Quote-To-Cash business analysis including use cases, swim lanes, story cards, and value streams
Understanding of excel and how to extract/analyze data
Experience working in agile methodology
Experience defining new processes and improving existing processes
Demonstrated ability to solicit clear requirements and translate into technical specifications
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical topics to business management and users
Self-motivated problem solver with ability to navigate ambiguity
Ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff, and executive management
Excellent communication skills matching appropriate content to different audiences
Ability to manage multiple priorities fluidly and without compromising stakeholder collaboration
Ability to work onsite (Medtronic facility in Fridley or Mounds View) and travel ~5%
