About the role
- Lead planning, design, and execution of automated testing strategies using the Tosca platform
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and act as trusted advisor between business stakeholders and IT
- Mentor junior testers and external vendor resources and set up/lead test engineering function
- Participate in entire solution delivery lifecycle with focus on test engineering ownership
- Translate business requirements into comprehensive test strategies, automation frameworks, and test cases
- Define, document, and coordinate all testing activities: unit, integration, system, regression, and UAT
- Lead and actively participate in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Facilitate requirements analysis; document current testing processes and design optimized future testing frameworks
- Advise stakeholders on automation best practices, performance testing, and risk-based testing approaches
- Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and present actionable testing workflows and documentation
- Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and implement optimized test practices
- Build knowledge of Medtronic products, systems, and testing environments to ensure high-quality software solutions
- Define and govern architectural and lifecycle management practices for IT portfolio related to pricing, quoting, and contracting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree
- Strong background in test automation and deep understanding of Tosca
- Experience working within agile methodologies and iterative testing cycles
- Demonstrated ability to define, refine, and improve testing processes and frameworks
- Proven ability to solicit clear testing requirements and translate into automation solutions
- Experience implementing automation technologies and testing tools (ALM, TOSCA, LoadRunner, Selenium)
- Hands-on involvement in at least two large-scale Quote-to-Cash transformation projects
- Familiarity with Quote-to-Cash software and IT SDLC lifecycle
- Ability to analyze and interpret E2E business process flows, sequence diagrams, and pseudo-code
- Solid experience in developing and validating Quote-to-Cash business processes (use cases, swim lane diagrams, story cards, value stream maps)
- Understanding of infrastructure and network configurations across multiple SaaS products
- Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor content for different stakeholders
- Leadership and mentoring experience (mentor junior testers and vendor resources)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive timely delivery of testing milestones
- Self-motivated problem-solver with ability to navigate ambiguity
- Willingness to travel ~5%
