About the role

  • Maximize profit by achieving sales revenue targets and grow market share for a specified territory by promoting, selling and servicing Medtronic Coronary Renal Denervation (CRDN) and/or Peripheral vascular products
  • Practice good, ethical territory management in terms of organization, planning, administration and expense planning and control
  • Increase sales and revenue by aggressively targeting and developing new accounts
  • Train appropriate medical staff on products and procedures
  • Meet expectations as defined by Sales Management
  • Reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Plan, implement and deliver effective sales/product presentations to customers, defining objectives and measuring success
  • Develop and maintain accurate account and territory records
  • Manage inventory in collaboration with other departments to balance availability and costs
  • Control and manage expenses cost-effectively
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key decision makers and clinical staff
  • Respond to customer requests and resolve complaints promptly
  • Communicate market intelligence/competitor activity and provide information to Regional Manager and other stakeholders
  • Proactively develop knowledge, skills and abilities; participate in product and skill development programs
  • Adhere to company policies, clinical and regulatory guidelines, and safety standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years medical device sales experience or 5 years total sales experience with a minimum of 2 years of Medtronic sales experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Active vehicle insurance policy
  • Driving record will be reviewed
  • Ability to travel within region up to 50% of the time; may include overnight visits
  • Cath lab sales experience preferred
  • Sales experience in capital equipment sales, surgical sales, and in-hospital pharmaceutical preferred
  • Completion of a strong sales training program preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of sales performance in a highly technical, competitive, and volatile environment preferred
  • Skills in account, inventory, expense, and budget management preferred
  • Skills in sales planning, organization and execution preferred
  • Ability to teach and educate medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel preferred
  • Computer (PC) literacy
  • Must comply with hospital credentialing requirements for patient-facing roles
