Conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic's Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) pacing products and services to existing and competitive customers
Implement quarterly sales plan and achieve sales goals and objectives
Maintain knowledge of diverse Medtronic products and support sales efforts
Coordinate customer activities at all meetings as assigned
Complete administrative reporting as assigned (expense reports, account profiles and analysis, daily planners, competitive updates, and inventory log)
Provide ongoing field intelligence reports on competitive activity, market changes, distribution, pricing, and customer preferences
Cost-effectively manage time and assets and maintain adequate inventory (trunk stock); assist in reallocation and delivery of product
Effectively utilize sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs
Train and educate both existing and competitive customers to gain incremental business
Maintain proficient level of product knowledge in all assigned product lines and advise customers on product performance
Provide 24-hour territory coverage and be regularly on call; must be able to work and travel outside of normal business hours
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
5 years medical industry sales experience (selling physician preference products) in hospital environment
3 years selling implantable CRM products
Valid driver's license (essential)
Active vehicle insurance policy
Driving record will be reviewed and considered as part of application
Must reside within the assigned territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
Ability to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory
Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings
Ability to work and/or travel outside of normal business hours and be on-call (24-hour territory coverage, including holidays, weekends, evenings)
Ability to transport product/equipment from car to hospital
Frequent required travel to customer clinics, hospitals and offsite meetings; ability to travel extensively with ease (approx. 10% of time)
Continuous verbal and written communication
Ability to be independently mobile (sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day)
Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease and radiation
For sales reps and other patient facing field employees: comply with all credentialing requirements at the hospitals or clinics they support
Preference given to local, qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience
Demonstrable success in previous employment indicating high level of sales performance
8+ years medical sales experience in hospital environment selling to interventional cardiologists or electrophysiologists or cardiothoracic surgeons (preferred)
