Lead R&D engineering team to execute critical development projects for Cardiac Ablation Solutions (PFA)
Accountable for the engineering staff in Galway and create a high performing team culture
Formulate partnerships with cross-functional Core Team members to foster collaboration and cross-functional effectiveness
Planning, directing, and coach team members; mentor team members to ensure engagement and contribution to project success
Plan, direct and implement design and development of new medical device products from concept to market release
Develop/evaluate/implement technical quality assurance, control, or reliability systems and standards
Oversee investigation and evaluation of existing technologies and guide conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products
Manage feasibility studies, monitor documentation maintenance throughout R&D phases
Organize coordination with outside suppliers and consultants; select, develop and evaluate personnel
Champion product development best practices: Voice of Customer inputs, early risk burn-down and DRM
Up to 25% domestic/international travel
Requirements
Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 5 years relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
Experience of people management of engineers including 1-1's, performance review’s, recruiting, disciplinaries, career development is essential
Extensive Program Management skills are a distinct advantage
Experienced in the medical device market and have a proven result driven record of accomplishment
Dynamic team player and influencer and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams
Excellent team building, communication, people management and management skills
