About the role

  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develops, builds, and strengthens long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Pursues leads, assesses needs and provides product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services
  • Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services
  • Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities and implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
  • Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing
  • Works independently managing multiple small to mid-size accounts; may direct the work of lower level sales professionals or manage sales processes/accounts involving multiple team members
  • Works with sales, marketing and finance to structure complex contracts and influence pricing structures

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Bsc/B pharma/BCA/B tech)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the healthcare field
  • Practical knowledge gained through experience of sales techniques and job area
  • Developing professional expertise; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • Experience building and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to pursue leads, assess needs and provide product services to maximize benefits from products/services
  • Ability to promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services
  • Conduct market research including customers and competitors activities and implement market development plans/strategies
  • For sales reps and other patient facing field employees: ability to go into healthcare settings and comply with all credentialing requirements at the hospitals or clinics they support
  • May need to comply with employer verification programs (employer participates in the federal E-Verify program)
