About the role

  • Create and align priorities with senior leaders to implement strategic learning plans to address the most critical questions for the business
  • Create immersive experiences that bring the needs of the consumer and end user to life for business teams
  • Build and share compelling stories with business leaders that provide insight to how consumer behaviors are influencing our categories
  • Provides regular and actionable input into the strategy and key priorities of the function
  • Acquire, synthesize, and socialize trends to inspire innovation
  • Guide specific research development and execution using expertise in a variety of research methods
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities at the category, brand, retailer, country, and global level
  • Synthesize disparate data and make recommendations grounded in consumer and market knowledge and guided by a broader sense of the business
  • Measure and evaluate in-market success, leveraging key learnings to optimize new product development process
  • Create strong partnerships with vendors and cross-functional leadership to drive collaborative success
  • Build advocacy for sustained organizational investment in end user and shopper understanding
  • Vet agency and vendor partner capabilities for regional and global scale
  • Select suppliers to partner with and shares experiences openly with the consumer insights community

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA a plus
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Consumer Insights / Research, Brand or Shopper Marketing, and/or Marketing Strategy
  • Expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative consumer research techniques and data analytics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience building holistic learning plans that integrate data, trends, and primary research
  • Experience blending quantitative & qualitative learning for a clear story and action plan
  • Ability to plan, follow through, and drive results through activation within an organization
  • Ability to juggle and manage communication across multiple priorities and key stakeholder needs
  • Experience in influencing senior stakeholders; leading cross-functional teams toward strategic, and culturally-relevant global solutions
  • Creative problem solver
  • Experience analyzing market share and market intelligence data
  • Ability to think and act strategically
  • Ability to “connect the dots” and drive toward bigger picture insights
  • Ability to synthesize a large amount of data and craft a clear, concise "story" to sell business solutions
  • Ability to show complex information in a simple, visual and graphical way that drives understanding
