About the role
- Support customer logistics requirements through analysis, organization, planning, and administration of provisioning, spares, maintenance, and repair activities
- Perform demand forecasting, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, and inventory reductions
- Identify cost savings, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution opportunities
- Create integrated processes among internal functions and outside suppliers
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments and evaluations to ensure conformance to quality, cost and delivery standards
- Perform distribution planning, supply chain modeling and design
- Resolve complex supplier quality issues and support supplier capability improvements
- Develop, write and edit logistics policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced Logistics Analysts
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience
- US Citizenship required
- Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
- Skills: Logistics, Process Improvements, Supply Chain
- Experience with demand forecasting, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, inventory reductions, cost savings, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution
- Experience conducting supplier audits, assessments and evaluations
- Experience resolving complex supplier quality issues
- Ability to develop and write logistics policies and procedures
- Travel: Less than 10%
