About the role

  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to drive adoption and sales growth of the Hugo™ RAS System
  • Engage budget-holders and hospital executives by jointly developing business cases, TCO comparisons, cost-per-procedure analyses, and contracting
  • Create and deliver workshops, system presentations, proposals, and contracts tailored to key decision-makers
  • Collaborate with internal Medtronic teams to assess opportunities and develop execution plans
  • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities through market analysis
  • Support hospitals in enhancing clinical and operational strategies by integrating the Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System
  • Build strong, long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals and hospital leadership
  • Work closely with Minimally Invasive Surgery specialists and internal technical support teams to develop opportunities
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and customers during sales cycle and post-purchase
  • Regularly analyze market data, assess competition, and provide detailed sales forecasts
  • Close significant contracts, track and report sales performance, and refine sales tactics
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of the Hugo™ RAS System for demonstrations, training, and inquiries
  • Spend significant time in the field, frequently traveling to meet clients and colleagues
  • Promote and sell Medtronic's Medical/Scientific Equipment products and services within an assigned geographic area
  • Pursue leads, assess needs, provide product services, and conduct/evaluate market research
  • Assess customer needs and feedback and communicate to R&D, Operations, and Marketing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in a medical and/or operating room environment
  • 3 years of dedicated capital complex selling required
  • Must be able to travel region assigned (50% plus)
  • Valid driver's license is essential for this role
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Modern computer literacy
  • Experience working in a matrix structure
  • Strong ability to communicate ideas clearly; passion for critical thinking and continuous learning
  • Strong commitment to success through ethical practices, adhering to company policies
  • Expertise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery (Nice to Have)
  • Active network in surgery/operating rooms and regular surgeon contacts (Nice to Have)
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Hugo™ RAS System
  • Ability to build coalitions within hospitals and navigate long, complex sales cycles
  • Ability to create business cases, TCO comparisons, cost-per-procedure analyses, and contracting
  • Willingness to comply with hospital credentialing requirements
