About the role

  • Provide clinical, technical and product knowledge support to existing and potential customers for Medtronic NeuroSurgery/Navigation/Robotic Assisted Surgery products and services
  • Build and maintain solid customer relationships and provide customer training at all levels
  • Coordinate, support, and collaborate with NRCs and other Enabling Technologies team members for on-site installations
  • Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures to provide technical assistance
  • Maintain system hardware and software; install upgrades and perform preventative maintenance
  • Provide telephone clinical support to customers and act as primary customer liaison for repair and technical support issues
  • Use UNIX/LINUX commands to modify operating files and fulfill Software and Service Contract obligations
  • Report complaints and partner with Clinical Manager/NRC to ensure resolution; file weekly site visit and customer contact reports
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel across departments and provide clinical resource for surgeons and clinicians
  • Participate in in-house customer training; provide train-the-trainer resources and continually train Enabling Technologies Clinical Support team
  • Work with NRCs, Spinal Sales, and NeuroSurgery Reps to identify prospective new users and support sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows
  • Support complex, new image-guided products and applications and provide input on new product development based on in-field experience
  • Responsible for documentation at new or existing installations and adhere to company policies

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of clinical, medical sales or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or Associate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of clinical, medical sales or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical, medical sales or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience
  • RT and/or MRI certification (preferred)
  • Prior experience with Image Guided Systems (preferred)
  • Prior experience with MRI (preferred)
  • Operating room experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
  • Ability to drive approximately 60% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel
  • Must perform duties within Quality System and BCS requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear and reach with hands and arms; frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Specific vision abilities required: normal vision
  • Driving record will be reviewed
