Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to employees and all levels of management
Provide guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters in alignment with Medtronic’s practices, policies, and local labor legislation
Lead proactive workplace initiatives and strategies
Conduct workplace investigations and internal reviews
Manage performance improvement and discipline processes, as well as end-of-employment situations, restructuring, labor relations, crisis management, coaching, and conflict resolution
Develop and execute employee and labor relations strategies to foster a positive work environment, address areas of opportunity, and minimize risk
Play a key leadership role in restructuring initiatives, resulting in successful employee transitions
Direct and lead teams, determine supervisory relationships, create staffing plans, and have authority over hiring, firing, promotions, and rewards
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of Employee Relations experience (or advanced degree with 8+ years)
7+ years of managerial experience
Experience developing and implementing both proactive and reactive Labor Relations strategies in US
Experience managing a team spanned across multiple manufacturing sites with high volume of work
Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform business decisions and proactive initiatives
Demonstrated strategic agility and execution
