• Develop high-quality learning interventions that support Mears’ organisational objectives
• Collaborate with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and subject matter experts
• Lead the design and facilitation of interactive workshops, blended programmes, and innovative learning interventions (virtually and in-person)
• Develop multi-format learning solutions, including face-to-face, virtual, digital, and blended learning pathways
• Support key people and capability initiatives, such as performance management, talent development, succession planning, and career progression
• Build strong, consultative relationships with stakeholders across the business
• Provide targeted coaching and structured support through facilitated induction programmes
• Manage and optimise learning administration processes using Workday Learning
• Evaluate learning effectiveness using feedback, data insights, performance metrics, and stakeholder input

L&D Specialist

• Providing competent advice and support to our operational and administration teams.
• Implementing and taking responsibility for all aspects of SHE on our contracts.
• Monitoring compliance with policy, procedures & systems and providing support to all staff.
• Reporting non-compliance to managers and instilling a strong health and safety culture within both staff and subcontractors.
• Meeting set KPI’s including completing a range of compliance audits.
• Producing reports detailing findings and appropriate actions and liaising with Branch Managers to resolve these.
• Delivering formal training to the wider team and business.

• Increase revenue and profitability through targeted acquisition of strategically aligned and sustainable new revenue contracts and retention of existing accounts.
• Secure multi-million-pound opportunities aligned to the business and sector strategy.
• Develop and drive new business strategies across the region/sector, anticipating changes in the market.
• Act as focal point for growth, building extensive relationships and working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver tailored client solutions across Mears services.
• Specialist business development lead for domestic property planned and retrofit services, supporting other business development colleagues as required.
• Enhance and position the Mears offer to the market, embracing new technologies and service offerings.
• Develop and own the regional/sector strategy on domestic property planned and retrofit alongside the Head of Net Zero, ensuring stakeholder engagement.
• Support and ensure alignment with broader business strategies.
• Flexibility to support team and business needs as offerings evolve.
