Learning and Development

• Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of L&D Specialists and Skills Trainers
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver a range of innovative training solutions, including face-to-face learning programs, short courses, and corporate initiatives
• Build and manage strong relationships across the business, serving as experts in learning
• Work closely with the Quality and Design team, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to assist in the creation of learning content that addresses skill gaps and meets colleague needs
• Engage with stakeholders in a consultative capacity to identify key training needs, develop training strategies, and support business performance improvement
• Collaborate with programme sponsors during the design and development of learning programmes
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to effectively communicate and promote learning and apprenticeship projects across the business
• Partner with wider HR teams to ensure that our programmes support both learning and apprenticeship strategies and talent development objectives
• Implement evaluation methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of our learning offerings based on colleague feedback and evolving business needs
• Support the development of reports and return on investment analyses as required to measure the impact of learning initiatives

Learning and Development Lead

Human Resources

• Provide clear and concise strategic advice to senior management covering all aspects of workforce planning, talent management, performance management, succession planning, and organisational design
• Manage end to end TUPE processes, ensuring legal compliance and smooth employee transitions during business transfers, mobilisations, and demobilisations
• Lead on restructures from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, effective stakeholder engagement, and compliance with employment legislation
• Provide expert advice, guidance, and hands on support on complex employee relations matters, including dispute resolution, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and conflict management
• Support and guide senior management in developing effective trade union relationships, and, where appropriate, establish positive and productive employee forums to foster open communication and collaboration
• Partner with leadership to design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies that enhance organisational performance
• Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices are aligned with operational requirements and local agreements
• Collaborate with Management teams to create people plans and support the identification and development of succession pipelines
• Leverage HR data and workforce analytics to inform strategic decision making, identify emerging trends, and recommend targeted interventions that support business objectives

HR Business Partner

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Act as a trusted commercial and financial business partner to branch leadership, developing a deep understanding of operational processes, contract structures, and key commercial drivers.
• Take ownership of financial performance, actively challenging operational teams on delivery against commercial terms, financial targets, and operational KPIs.
• Produce high-quality commercial and financial management information, including monthly performance reviews supported by clear, insightful commentary.
• Identify, quantify, and communicate risks and opportunities against annual targets, ensuring corrective actions are understood and implemented.
• Lead the production of rolling forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring assumptions are robust, transparent, and aligned to operational delivery plans.
• Support commercial contract activity, including pricing reviews, contract variations, repricing exercises, and tendering opportunities.
• Ensure financial and commercial information is clearly communicated to non-financial stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making at all levels.
