About the role
- The Business Process Consultant is a core member of the McKesson Revenue Cycle Leadership team, routinely partnering with Practice, Network Support and Revenue Cycle (Regional and Central Business Office) stakeholders to assist in the optimization and standardization of network wide Revenue Cycle business processes. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Practice Operations and Revenue Cycle leadership, project champions, and process owners to embrace change management initiatives, operationalize key projects and deliver results that are sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable
- Facilitate complex meetings, presentations, and trainings with varied audiences across all levels of management
- Engage in onsite visits to practice locations across the United States to collaborate on and resolve complex workflow challenges
- Collaborate with corporate teams to drive innovation on new technologies, payment model initiatives and vital practice management system advancements
- Support system training initiatives and participate in curriculum development
- Provide support prior to, during, and post practice management system transitions/upgrades, influencing adoption, transformation, and stabilization with a Six Sigma approach
- Serve as a Revenue Cycle network resource for new business integrations
- Develop and publish workflow documentation (Reference Guides, Job Aids, SOPs, etc.)
- Serve as a trusted advisor to members of Practice Operations and Revenue Cycle Leaders
- Monitor and communicate the results of process improvement projects/initiatives to management and the Executive Leadership Teams
Requirements
- Minimum Requirement
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience leading projects and collaborating with stakeholders" Critical Skills
- Subject matter expert in Revenue Cycle Operations (Patient Facing and Non-Patient Facing)
- DX Experience – Agent of change and transformation
- Experience coaching others in process improvement frameworks
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Process improvement and workflow development experience
- Data Analysis – Identify sources for, gather and analyze data relevant to process change initiatives
- Partner with optimization and quality improvement
- Able to work independently
- Have a consulting and project management mindset Additional Skills
- Experience working with Athena IDX (Centricity Business) and Centricity Practice (G4)
- Experience working with iKnowMed (G2) - Preferred
- Six Sigma Certification – Preferred
- Project Management – Preferred Travel: Ability to travel up to 50%
