About the role
- Lead a small team of motivated professionals to provide project control functions
- The team will be responsible for: schedule management; risk management; program metrics reporting; cost reporting; project status reporting; resource management, including onboarding; travel management; management of government furnished equipment; software purchases; sub-contractor management; and deliverable management, including technical writing
- Collaborate with Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager to meet program objectives
Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering, operations research, business administration, or other relevant field (Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of graduate degree)
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience
- At least ten years of experience working on project control activities such as schedule management; cost management; risk management; resource management; and deliverable management
- Experience managing a small team of professionals
- DoD program leadership experience
- People management and soft skills needed to successfully lead a diverse team of experts across both technical and non-technical roles
- History of increasing roles and responsibilities that promote leadership and technical acumen
- Additional certifications such as: Project Management Professional; ITIL Foundation Certification; Planning Scheduling Professional; or other similar certifications
- USTRANSCOM experience
- Experience on an agile software development program
