About the role

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and revenue in assigned territory
  • Recruit and manage high-performing sales groups aligned with growth and product objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key surgeons, customers, and distributors
  • Forecast and report sales revenue and KPIs; drive accountability to quotas and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Oversee inventory use and deployment in the field per company policy
  • Partner with National Accounts on contracting and pricing for hospitals and major accounts
  • Conduct regular business reviews with selling entities; create and manage strategic plans by Business Unit
  • Identify market trends and competitor activity; seek new growth opportunities
  • Support field sales training needs; participate in sales meetings, conventions, and industry events
  • Track progress to goals, manage equipment and materials, and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Travel weekly (flying and driving) as required

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business or related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in medical products/devices
  • 5+ years managing independent agents/distributors and direct sales teams
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics and business practices
  • Excellent relationship management, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
  • Proven ability to handle product questions and surgical use of devices
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and business development principles
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Strong analytical and leadership abilities; works well independently and collaboratively
  • Weekly travel required (flying and driving)
