Provide high-quality, short-term, evidence-based clinical therapeutic and consultative services via telehealth and in-person to child and adolescent patients and their family members in WE CARE Clinic under a board-approved supervisor.
Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy to improve mental health, resiliency, and coping skills.
Consult with Board Approved Supervisor per Board, Institutional, and Department standards.
Perform counseling, evaluation, treatment, and plan using evidence-based practices; create individualized treatment plans and review progress toward goals.
Assure continuity of care, convey assessment findings, and implement therapeutic plans.
Complete documentation and safety plans according to program policies and institutional standards.
Connect families and caregivers to institute and community resources.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in case consultation; coordinate with family members to engage patients in care.
Identify obstacles to optimal patient care, risk reduction, and health promotion.
Perform crisis interventions as needed.
Develop support and community engagement programs for caregivers and patients; facilitate or lead therapeutic and support groups.
Participate in program evaluation activities including data collection for grants and patient satisfaction surveys.
Perform administrative duties, outreach, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Master's degree or higher in professional counseling or related field is required.
Up to one (1) year related experience.
Registered with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors as an LPC Associate (LPC-A) required.
QMHP eligible and on track to LPC preferred.
To be considered, candidate must have under 300 direct hours towards LPC license.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
