About the role
- The Clinician II will be responsible for completing client assessments, and ensuring all compliance procedures and protocols are followed.
- Deep understanding of addiction medicine, and behavioral health; will work with multidisciplinary treatment teams to provide individualized care plans.
- Provide rapid clinical psychosocial assessments and treatment/management.
- Collaborates with peers/staff to develop client treatment strategies and formulate diagnoses.
- Performing compliance audits as needed
- Drafting, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures related to compliance
- Serves as an information resource to clinical team.
- Assess and diagnose mental health, and substance abuse.
- Reviewing notes to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate services.
- Provide supervision as needed.
- Provide individual and group counseling services if needed
- Actively participating in treatment team meetings and company training.
- Monitor client progress and make adjustments to treatment plans.
- Ensure all documentation is done in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
- Possesses knowledge of specific substance use/psychiatric illnesses, procedures, and treatments.
- Ability to gather and analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Ability to prioritize decisions based upon multiple criteria and identifiable standards.
- Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.
- Experience engaging and collaborating with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or closely related field.
- Independent New Mexico license required (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, LPAT, and PhD).
- Current and Valid New Mexico driver’s license.
- Ability to become credentialed with payor sources.
- Successful experience in mental health, substance abuse or related field, preferably a minimum of 3-5 years.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
- Experience in or the ability to learn how to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, which includes appointment scheduling, authorization, tracking, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Experience working with those who have mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual disabilities.
