About the role

  • Serve as Partner & Chief Executive Officer, with ultimate decision-making authority and substantial equity ownership
  • Lead and scale both landscaping services and nursery operations, ensuring year-round revenue generation
  • Manage snow and ice management services and seasonal operations to cover winter payroll
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand service offerings, market reach, and company portfolio
  • Oversee financial management, budgeting, P&L, and profitability optimization
  • Drive business development efforts, secure new projects/accounts, and pursue municipal tenders
  • Hire, lead, and develop a productive operations team; foster a knowledgeable work environment
  • Leverage Mainshares Capital resources, advisors, and vendors; act on mentorship and guidance to improve operations

Requirements

  • 10+ years of comprehensive experience in the landscaping and/or nursery industry
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with landscaping services including snow/ice management and nursery operations
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development (municipal tenders a significant plus)
  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams
  • Significant experience in small business management including budgeting, financial analysis, P&L responsibility, and strategic planning
  • In-depth knowledge of plant types, landscaping techniques, and nursery best practices
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and genuine interest in nurseries, plants, and the environment
  • Ability and willingness to relocate (relocation may be required)
