Learning and Development

• Leads the HSES and Training function to ensure continuous improvement of the HSES and Training programs and performance for all three locations.
• Establishes and maintains Key Performance Indicators used to measure each site’s HSES performance.
• Ensures the HSES programs and practices are consistent with LyondellBasell’s Operational Excellence Standards and in compliance with local, state and federal requirements.
• Develops and recommends business driven and cost effective HSES and Training strategies for each location.
• Proactively develops and deploys HSES programs to reduce work-related injuries and illnesses, and prevent harm to the environment.
• Acts as the champion to ensure proper investigation and follow-up is taken on safety concerns, near misses and incidents.
• Addresses all internal and external customer inquiries and reporting requirements regarding health, safety, environmental, security and training matters.
• Facilitates employee involvement, awareness and continuous improvement in all LyondellBasell Process Safety programs.
• Builds relationships and maintains on-going communications with plant staff and manufacturing personnel to develop and maintain a collaborative work environment across all three locations.
• Manages organizational aspects of the Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and Training function to develop staff of fourteen (14) employees with expertise and knowledge.
• In addition, the position is responsible for coordinating the activities of a small number of contractors (Security, LDAR and Fire Protection).

Manager, HSES – Training

Scheduler

• Communicate with LyondellBasell Corporate, Covestro, Fleets, Inspection companies, Bulk Handling personnel as well as LYB Unit Operations and raw material inventory coordinators.
• Responsible to verify/confirm with Unit Operations, finished products are in specification prior to loading instructions being issued.
• Enter orders from IP’s into schedule and TerminalSmart.
• Maintain a 4 day look ahead schedule for loading needs.
• Communicate and work with the Corporate Business/Supply Chain groups to resolve any customer related issues.
• Plan and coordinate barge loading/unloading schedule to meet plant operations, material inventory and business requirements.
• Set loading/shipping priority for barge transfers.
• Schedule around all maintenance activities with no impacts to the units.
• Established proficiency in SAP to access shipping orders, batch reclass, PGI, and GR barges.
• Monitor daily weather and tide forecast to stay out in front of barge movements.
• Verify paperwork is filled out correctly per USCG and transfer documentation is uploaded into TerminalSmart.
• Coordinate/Communicate with Bulk Handling Barge Dock personnel on loading requirements daily to make sure manpower scheduled matches the loading requirements.
• Available after hours and weekends to resolve any transfer conflicts/issues including inspectors and tankman.

Logistics Scheduler

Technician

• Receive and verify incoming materials and shipments.
• Store materials in designated warehouse and inventory locations.
• Maintain proper storage conditions and inventory organization.
• Pick, issue, and process material returns to support maintenance and operations activities.
• Safely package, handle, and ship materials, including vendor returns.
• Load and unload materials using powered industrial equipment, including forklifts.
• Maintain and update stock-out logs.
• Support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Identify inventory discrepancies and escalate issues for corrective action.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations, inventory management, and material availability.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

Technician, Materials Inventory

Engineer

• Apply data analysis techniques to develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect plant operations including capacity, quality, cost, and regulatory compliance issues
• Consult with peers at the site and across the company
• Serve as a resource and conduit to share best practices and leverage operating improvement opportunities across the site and company
• Provide technical support/expertise within your discipline in the design and installation stages of projects for new assets and modification of existing assets to minimize life cycle cost and maximize asset availability
• Participate in the development of design and installation specifications and commissioning plans.
• Participate in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria
• Maintain awareness of emerging technology, assessing applicability to improve reliability and performance, or to reduce maintenance cost
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Manage risk to the achievement of an organization’s strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production
• Provide input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations
• Systematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine an asset maintenance plan that includes:
• Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
• Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
• Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions
• Provide technical support to production, maintenance, project, and process engineering groups
• Lead interdisciplinary reliability improvement teams to guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, controls and safety systems.
• Implement Safety Instrumented Systems that meet availability requirements by translating Process Hazard Analysis requirements into technical design specifications and preventive/predictive maintenance plans.

Electrical Engineer

• Provide unit process engineering support.
• Identifies areas to improve process safety, reliability, and profitability.
• Participate and be accountable for design and/or execution of improvement projects.
• Participate in the morning meetings, identifying risks to planned operation, participating in Boardwalk reviews, assigned unit improvement teams, and other similar activities.
• Understands the unit constraints and defines KPIs for optimizing within those constraints, while also identifying opportunities to remove constraints.
• Supports development and ongoing maintenance of the unit operating window.
• Assists or leads investigations and troubleshooting efforts for process events with the goal of finding root cause(s) and driving implementation of corrective actions.
• Provides unit shutdown and startup support associated with downtime and Turnarounds.
• Provide technical expertise in PSM activities (PHA, MOC, PSV calculations, Safety Critical Equipment/Variables, Incident Investigations, etc).

Process Engineer

Manager

• Lead global deployment and sustainment of the MOWP framework across manufacturing sites
• Assess site-level maintenance practices and identify gaps relative to MOWP standards
• Deliver training, coaching, and conduct assessments to ensure consistent application of MOWP
• Evaluate planning and scheduling capabilities (staffing, tools, skills) and support targeted improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with site teams to address planning and scheduling gaps through corrective actions and best practices
• Develop standardized methodologies for time and cost estimation using norms, software tools, and historical data
• Create and maintain procedures, training materials, and documentation to support capability building
• Re-establish and lead the global Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Network sub-team to promote knowledge sharing
• Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness and quality of maintenance planning and scheduling
• Partner with SAP analysts and site teams to standardize SAP PM/MM usage and improve data integrity
• Work with Digital Technology (DT) teams to implement digital tools that enhance planning efficiency and reduce costs
• Analyze maintenance processes at sites and identify gaps relative to MOWP standard
• Deliver training, coaching, and participate in site assessments to ensure consistent and effective application of the MOWP framework

Global MOWP Manager

• Monitor and improve daily operation of the methanol unit by working directly with operations personnel.
• Optimize unit performance and troubleshoot problems.
• Coordinate the actions of several departments necessary to resolve production issues.
• Develop systems and implement projects to improve and sustain value in the areas of safety, environment, production, cost, and quality.
• Perform design calculations required to generate process data to check and validate equipment and system performance.
• Effectively interface with groups across the company including site manufacturing and technical groups, other process engineering support groups, project engineering and business and engineering management.
• Effectively facilitate teamwork to obtain alignment of organizational goals and gain consensus and support from company personnel.
• Participate and lead process hazard analyses and management of change activities.
• Mentor less experienced engineers. Develop and deliver technical training.
• Coordinate and/or perform project duties for small capital projects, including process simulation, development of heat and material balance calculations, and preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Participate in unit turnarounds

Engineer, Methanol Production

• Management of health risks within the site, including but not limited to chemical, biological, and physical hazards.
• Responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance in all areas of Industrial Hygiene.
• Management of the site annual IH monitoring program and site comprehensive exposure assessment process.
• Completion of annual exposure assessment plan and reporting to management of findings.
• Management of the site breathing air program.
• Develop recommendations for improvements based on exposure assessment and or monitoring results.
• Proficiently utilizes and manages the site Occupational Health Database, including, but not limited to, assigning Similar Exposure Groups (SEGs), performing health risk assessments, documenting monitoring, reporting, and medical surveillance assignments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain assigned site Health and Safety procedures and training programs.
• Develop and maintain site health and safety procedures and help functional groups translate requirements into practice.
• Maintain an up-to-date chemical inventory, manage the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system, and review new chemicals.
• Develop and implement turnaround IH management plans. Provide support to health & safety needs during turnaround execution.
• Support field data collection during planned and unplanned events, which may require the use of respirators, SCBA, etc.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other Health & Safety Department personnel.
• Collaborate with other company representatives to gather information on compliance strategies and alternative options, share this information internally, and apply it while developing compliance strategies at the site.
• Engage regularly with the site Health and Wellness Clinicians to address overlapping projects, implement improvements related to Industrial Hygiene, or investigate exposures.
• Interface with the Corporate Occupational Health team.
• Completion of annual Health and Safety program reviews as assigned.
• Successful follow-through on assigned action items from audits and incident investigations.
• Develop, maintain, and develop action plans for Industrial Hygiene key performance indicators.
• Recommends engineering, administrative, and PPE controls for various health risks.
• Authority to STOP unsafe work when necessary.
• Review and approve requested variances to procedures or practices.

Safety Engineer

• Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Assist in permitting, reporting, and regulatory interpretation.
• Monitor environmental performance aligned with ISO 14001 and OEMS.
• Support waste management programs.
• Champion GoalZERO culture and support safety programs.
• Conduct safety audits and participate in incident investigations.
• Track and report KPIs and support audits and compliance reviews.
• Drive data-based improvements and conduct internal and external audits.
• Deliver HSE training and provide coaching and mentorship.

Environmental Engineer – I

Controller

• Monitor and operate Equistar Pipelines on a 24-hour basis
• Ensure timely and accurate product delivery or receipts for customers and suppliers in Texas
• Operate and monitor over 1500+ miles of product/feed stock pipelines, storage facility operations, remote pumping facilities, and 75+ customer/supplier sites
• Responsible for the operation of the emergency response communications system for the notification of pipeline management/government agencies per Department of Transportation (DOT) and state regulations in Texas
• Ensure personal and team safety while promoting a Goal Zero work environment
• Perform all work activities in compliance with applicable state and federal environmental regulations
• Provide accurate, timely communication to coworkers and collaborate across functions to improve individual and team performance
• Participate on committees dealing with investigations, policy and procedure development, and special groups designed to improve the workplace environment
• Monitor and operate the Equistar Pipeline’s systems to provide quality service to customers/suppliers of the organization
• Monitor and respond to the Pipeline’s Computational Leak Detection software
• Maintain readiness to operate the system to meet emergency needs that arise across customer sites
• Monitor product quality to ensure that the product delivered into or from the Equistar system is on test and meets all customer/supplier specifications
