About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate with LyondellBasell Corporate, Covestro, Fleets, Inspection companies, Bulk Handling personnel as well as LYB Unit Operations and raw material inventory coordinators.
  • Responsible to verify/confirm with Unit Operations, finished products are in specification prior to loading instructions being issued.
  • Enter orders from IP’s into schedule and TerminalSmart.
  • Maintain a 4 day look ahead schedule for loading needs.
  • Communicate and work with the Corporate Business/Supply Chain groups to resolve any customer related issues.
  • Plan and coordinate barge loading/unloading schedule to meet plant operations, material inventory and business requirements.
  • Set loading/shipping priority for barge transfers.
  • Schedule around all maintenance activities with no impacts to the units.
  • Established proficiency in SAP to access shipping orders, batch reclass, PGI, and GR barges.
  • Monitor daily weather and tide forecast to stay out in front of barge movements.
  • Verify paperwork is filled out correctly per USCG and transfer documentation is uploaded into TerminalSmart.
  • Coordinate/Communicate with Bulk Handling Barge Dock personnel on loading requirements daily to make sure manpower scheduled matches the loading requirements.
  • Available after hours and weekends to resolve any transfer conflicts/issues including inspectors and tankman.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED is required. A college degree is a plus in either management or an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of logistics experience preferably in a Process Plant setting.
  • Knowledge of rail car and barge maintenance and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of plant scheduling roles and responsibilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of site Inet / Bourque rail management system preferred
  • Knowledgeable of Federal Regulations applicable to Bulk Shipping, handling and receiving of Hazardous/Non-Hazardous materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft systems such as excel, word, etc.
