About the role
- Manage and review daily accounting transactions, including AP/AR, GL entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare internal financial statements and management reports in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during audits and inspections.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports (VAT, CIT, PIT, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation and support for all tax filings and financial audits.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.
- Monitor closely the spending to budget.
- Work closely with the brand team to ensure all daily operational transactions and activities are recorded properly.
- Monitor and ensure compliance to the company’s SOP.
- Work closely with inventory controller to ensure accurate stock reporting.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (VAS, IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MISA, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in the retail industry is a strong advantage.
