Day-to-day supervision, leadership and management of the COBRA team
COBRA and Retiree billing administration
Successful achievement of COBRA new client implementations
Client retention, ongoing quality, turnaround time and service expectations
Staff development, coaching, timely and consistent feedback
Develops/implements processes and procedures to drive efficiencies
Provide technical guidance on COBRA EAS, COBRA DOL regulations and act as a SME for related projects, initiatives and escalations
Answer complex or difficult questions, advise cross functional team members regarding processes and procedures
Participate in client-facing calls and meetings
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
3-5 years Eligibility/COBRA experience
Previous supervisory experience of teams more than 5
Experience with employee benefits in an insurance, human resources, or business setting
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Robust familiarity and understanding of Federal DOL requirements for COBRA
Ability to work with all levels of the organization and provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients and team members
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline and customer driven industry
Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills
Demonstrated MS Office proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
Ability to think creatively and proactively to problem solve and drive innovation and process improvement
Self-starter who is open to change and new ideas
(Preferred) Bachelor’s degree
(Preferred) Self-funded and/or TPA experience
(Preferred) Experience with COBRA EAS or other COBRA admin systems
(Preferred) Experience with Retiree billing or individual benefit billing
(Preferred) Experience with system migration
(Preferred) Experience developing a training plan/building SOPs
Must Reside in one of the following States: Illinois Montana New Mexico Oklahoma Texas Indiana Missouri Wisconsin Iowa Kansas North Carolina Pennsylvania
