Work directly with attorneys, paralegals and other team members in Longroad’s legal department and gain exposure to a variety of legal disciplines and functions, including operations, corporate governance, and real estate
Assist with and support matters falling under: real estate, permitting & local affairs, commercial, corporate and regulatory matters
Assist in the review and drafting of corporate governance documents for consistency and compliance
Assist with implementation of company internal policies and procedures
Review and draft basic contracts
Developing and/or updating systems for tracking matters that the legal department manages (e.g., corporate matters, NDAs, UCCs, etc.)
Potentially visit operating wind and solar projects (funding will be provided for travel)
Participate in onboarding, structured work experience, mentoring, and exposure both to department-specific and company-wide personnel and activities as part of the 10–12-week summer program
Requirements
Undergraduate student at a 4-year college or rising 2L law student pursuing a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school
Preferred major of Political Science, Pre-Law, Economics, Environmental Studies or other related majors
GPA of 3.0 or higher for college students or top 25% of class for law students
Interest in Renewable Energy Industry and transactional legal work
