The Regional Sales Manager leads sales efforts for the Energy and Industrial Infrastructure Business Unit, managing third-party representatives and distribution channels across a large territory with revenue targets exceeding $29 million
Oversees sales activities across 12 or more states, managing nine or more representatives with full accountability for team performance and development
Develop annual objectives and growth plans for the 3rd party representative network
Define sales initiatives within geographic area that support short-term operational plan
Assess agency performance, coach representatives, and manage team development
Develop Mutual Growth Plans for strategic distribution partners and train distribution on products
Build and maintain sales pipeline, lead customer negotiations, provide quarterly sales forecasts, and convert distribution from competition
Promote EDI and Celerity setups and POS feedback; analyze market to determine channel partner needs
Keep abreast of industry developments and collaborate cross-functionally; provide technical acumen and customer support
Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, with 7-10 years of technical sales experience
Experience with global manufacturing companies are preferred
Ability to analyze data and provide market-wise recommendations
Proficiency in data analysis, MS Office, and basic SAP knowledge is essential
Knowledge of the market, channels, customers and product lines
Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and shift priorities as necessary
