About the role
- Manage all engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, and integration phases of custom automation projects
- Conduct contract reviews, design and engineering reviews, and procurement oversight
- Lead engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project financial performance, maintain budget and cash flow, and implement change control
- Oversee manufacturing and quality control to meet specifications and customer requirements
- Resolve engineering, quality, and production issues to maintain on-time delivery
- Oversee detailed project timelines and adjust plans based on constraints
- Provide weekly status updates and detailed project reporting to senior management
- Support customer engagement, commissioning, troubleshooting, installation, production support, and training
Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience preferably in automated systems, robotics, or advanced manufacturing
- AGV experience highly desirable
- PMP certification preferred but not essential
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional engineering teams and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with assembly systems, tooling equipment, automated systems integration, and manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated ability to create, execute, and adjust complex project work plans while managing scope, quality, and risks
- Willingness to travel (~10%) for customer kickoffs, site reviews, and final acceptance
