Assist in Canadian and global tax functions, reporting to the Tax Director
Prepare Canadian income tax filings including T106, T1134, FAPI and surplus account calculations
Prepare annual Canadian tax provisions and ensure timely payments of taxes
Support preparation and submission of R&D and E-business tax credit claims
Coordinate month-end financial reporting procedures, reconciling tax accounts and preparing internal control documentation
Prepare responses to audits and notices from tax authorities
Support integration for mergers and acquisitions
Provide cash tax estimates and effective tax rate forecasts for budgeting and forecasting
Support preparation of Canadian sales tax returns and internal inquiries
Prepare transfer pricing file and coordinate transfer pricing agreements with legal team
Prepare Pillar Two effective tax rate computations and compliance readiness
Lead compilation and submission of Country-by-Country Reports (CbCR)
Research tax issues and recommend tax treatments to reduce tax burden and risks
Assist Tax Director in special projects as required
Requirements
3-5 years of experience of accounting and industry tax experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge with Canadian taxes
Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, Pillar 1 & 2 and OECD guidelines
Strong knowledge of Excel
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
Adept at handling sensitive documents
Willingness to learn different tax concepts
As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.
Fluency in French (nice to have)
Familiar with TaxPrep (nice to have)
Experience with NetSuite (nice to have)
Transfer pricing, M&A, equity compensation experience (nice to have)
Experience working in public or other SaaS/technology companies (nice to have)
CPA designation in progress (nice to have)
