About the role
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and fluctuation analyses as a part of our month-end close process
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Work with our internal and external audit teams to support the audit by reviewing and providing support in a timely manner
- Identify, propose and drive process and efficiency improvements to month-end close process and other accounting processes
- Work closely with Accounting Manager and Director to identify tactical and strategic department opportunities
- Establish strong relationships both within Finance and cross-functionally
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- Report to the Accounting Manager and work across the broader organization, including senior management
Requirements
- 3+ years of Accounting experience
- Ownership mindset with a high degree of accountability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Proven project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree in business/accounting/finance; advanced degree a plus
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CPA)
