Drive sales to meet and exceed quarterly sales and profitability targets.
Develop new accounts and grow/maintain existing accounts within assigned territory.
Meet all assigned territory targets and prepare annual sales budget.
Prepare resin margin forecast and set new business goals.
Prospect new accounts and routinely visit customers within a defined sales plan; travel up to 50%.
Develop trusting customer relationships and make product presentations & training sessions.
Develop key account plans for top accounts and secure long-term contracts or supply agreements where possible.
Work in conjunction with the sales team while prospecting and developing new business; participate in pipeline review meetings.
Be disciplined with account management processes and governance (inventory management/stocking programs, accounts receivable status, products produced and available for shipment).
Maintain profitability on existing accounts and improve margins where possible.
Provide weekly updates of new projects (pipeline management updates) and complete RFQ forms to quote customers on new opportunities.
Host calls/meetings across all internal functions; communicate custom projects to sales and engineering teams.
Complete & submit monthly sales and opportunity reports and monthly expense reports in a timely fashion.
Report to Director, Sales; work within Sales department in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from an accredited college or university; and/or 2 to 5 years sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business degree and sales experience in packaging or direct-oriented industry a plus.
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is required.
Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office -- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint -- and other data entry order processing systems and Database software.
Salesforce.com a plus.
Travel: Up to 50%.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; specific vision (close vision); frequently required to sit, use hands, talk or hear; frequently required to stand and walk; occasionally reach with hands and arms.
