About the role

  • Plan and lead the design and testing of new and existing technologies for new products and product enhancements
  • Provide technical support on highly complex assignments during the New Product Process (NPP)
  • Lead research and evaluation of product and part specifications and develop moderately complex concept/prototype models
  • Translate marketing requirements into engineering specifications and provide high-level technical input
  • Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data; define performance parameters and cost estimates; compile and analyze test data; prepare technical reports
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop and execute product and process plans; coordinate and oversee project teams, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and provide advice on complex engineering issues
  • Coordinate and lead design reviews and work with vendors to integrate design information
  • Develop, test, pilot and validate technically complex design solutions and lead continuous improvement activities
  • Act as a mentor and resource to less experienced co-workers; perform duties in both office and manufacturing environments with occasional travel

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply professional engineering concepts, principles, practices and procedures
  • Understanding of the application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance systems
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using originality and ingenuity
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the work of others and lead project teams
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or person lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.; position may require export control license and occasional travel
