💰 $90,000 - $130,000 per year
About the role
- Plan and lead the design and testing of new and existing technologies for new products and product enhancements
- Provide technical support on highly complex assignments during the New Product Process (NPP)
- Lead research and evaluation of product and part specifications and develop moderately complex concept/prototype models
- Translate marketing requirements into engineering specifications and provide high-level technical input
- Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data; define performance parameters and cost estimates; compile and analyze test data; prepare technical reports
- Partner cross-functionally to develop and execute product and process plans; coordinate and oversee project teams, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and provide advice on complex engineering issues
- Coordinate and lead design reviews and work with vendors to integrate design information
- Develop, test, pilot and validate technically complex design solutions and lead continuous improvement activities
- Act as a mentor and resource to less experienced co-workers; perform duties in both office and manufacturing environments with occasional travel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply professional engineering concepts, principles, practices and procedures
- Understanding of the application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance systems
- Working knowledge of CAD systems
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using originality and ingenuity
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the work of others and lead project teams
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be a U.S. citizen or person lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.; position may require export control license and occasional travel
