About the role

  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support; allocate resources; conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement of all facilities and equipment within the region; develop preventive maintenance programs; coordinate with facility managers and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards; stay updated on relevant codes and implement and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Lead and manage capital projects (expansions, renovations, upgrades), including budgeting, planning, vendor coordination, monitoring progress, and risk mitigation
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs; identify process improvements and monitor key performance indicators
  • Collaborate with regional directors, facility managers, and cross-functional teams; act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • A professional engineering license is preferred
  • Minimum of [number of years] years of experience in engineering management, preferably in a similar role within the facilities management or real estate industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures
  • Experience with capital project management, including budgeting, planning, and vendor management
