About the role

  • Be the first point of contact for HR queries, managing requests through our Jira service desk.
  • Coach and advise managers on Employee Relations (ER), performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations: contracts, onboarding, exits, HR system updates, and payroll coordination with Finance.
  • Keep HR policies up to date, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and LEAP standards.
  • Track and report on HR metrics to highlight trends and drive improvements.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives and help deliver internal events.
  • Take ownership of key HR projects, including contract and benefits harmonisation and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with People Lead, HR Director, Talent Manager, and international HR network across Poland, Canada, Australia, and the US.
  • Travel occasionally to UK offices (Glasgow, Nottingham, Cardiff, Manchester) with overnight stays when required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR generalist or adviser, ideally in a multi-site or multi-brand organisation.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Confident in managing Employee Relations (ER) casework and coaching managers.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills.
  • Tech-savvy; experience with HRIS systems and data-driven HR (BambooHR experience a plus).
  • Experience managing HR queries via Jira service desk.
  • Experience coordinating payroll with Finance.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Event planning and employee engagement experience (desirable).
  • Ability to gather internal HR metrics and present them effectively.
  • Ability to design and deliver management training.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to UK offices, including overnight stays.
