About the role
- Be the first point of contact for HR queries, managing requests through our Jira service desk.
- Coach and advise managers on Employee Relations (ER), performance management, and workforce planning.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations: contracts, onboarding, exits, HR system updates, and payroll coordination with Finance.
- Keep HR policies up to date, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and LEAP standards.
- Track and report on HR metrics to highlight trends and drive improvements.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and help deliver internal events.
- Take ownership of key HR projects, including contract and benefits harmonisation and process improvements.
- Collaborate with People Lead, HR Director, Talent Manager, and international HR network across Poland, Canada, Australia, and the US.
- Travel occasionally to UK offices (Glasgow, Nottingham, Cardiff, Manchester) with overnight stays when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR generalist or adviser, ideally in a multi-site or multi-brand organisation.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Confident in managing Employee Relations (ER) casework and coaching managers.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills.
- Tech-savvy; experience with HRIS systems and data-driven HR (BambooHR experience a plus).
- Experience managing HR queries via Jira service desk.
- Experience coordinating payroll with Finance.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
- Event planning and employee engagement experience (desirable).
- Ability to gather internal HR metrics and present them effectively.
- Ability to design and deliver management training.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to UK offices, including overnight stays.
