About the role
- Support assigned market and work closely with the office Business Development team
- Build strong relationships with the local BD Manager and collaborate to support partners, counsel, and associates in the assigned office
- Assist in planning, execution, and evaluation of Business Development and Marketing initiatives, and business plans
- Plan and assist with office event initiatives, cross-selling, and client-targeting initiatives related to local markets
- Work with BD Core, New Business Team, Creative, Events & Sponsorships, Martech, Library & Research, Alumni, Brand & Communications, and the Financial Information Center to deliver client intelligence, research, pitch information, events, and lawyer materials
- Assist in monitoring office initiatives with key account clients in the market
- Act as the go-to resource for office BD needs and support
- Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information held by Latham & Watkins
Requirements
- Demonstrate well-developed, professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
- Display excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Possess the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, business development, office administration, or other related functions
- Ability to protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information
- Ability to work in the New York office (role will be located in our New York office)
