About the role
- The objective of a Customer Sales Manager I of distributor sales is to achieve optimum sales results on assigned distribution accounts and provide regional/local support for corporate distribution initiatives.
Utilize syndicated data, providing business insights and actionable plans for distributor customers.
Manage financial levers such as pricing.
Work closely with a cross-functional Lamb Weston sales team.
Deliver goals using the cost drivers within their sphere of influence, balancing volume and profit goals to achieve results.
Deliver consultative, fact-based selling proposals and presentations leveraging key insights.
Assist in development of business plans to drive profitable value and added growth while building strong relationships with customers/partners.
Develop joint scorecards with key business partners to measure plan success.
Plan short- and long-term customer assessments of account activities and opportunities.
Manage a record and documentation of customer and sales activity in the Sales System assigned by the Business Unit.
May oversee the work of sales representatives by initiating objectives, setting priorities and evaluating work.
Interact with cross-functional teams within Lamb Weston and at assigned distribution accounts.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in similar field preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of sales experience, foodservice sales preferred.
Computer Skills: Ability to use a variety of technologies and tools including, Microsoft Suite, virtual meeting rooms/web conferencing, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, DOMO, PROs). Demonstrated ability to utilize digital/remote selling capabilities.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills and ability to negotiate. Ability to read, write and speak in English required . Bilingual skills desirable .
Strong business management skills, including financial management skills and a strategic mindset.
The ability to travel independently, valid U.S. drivers’ license, and ability to meet Company driving standards. May have to travel up to 50% of the time.
