About the role
- Support a growing litigation team in the Miami office of Kubicki Draper
- Provide legal assistant support for insurance-defense matters, including BI and PIP files
- Manage attorney calendars and scheduling
- Draft legal documents: standardized letters, pleadings, and reports
- Perform e-service and e-filing and follow Florida court procedures
- Use Microsoft Word for document preparation and editing
- Communicate effectively with team members and manage deadlines
- Follow up on items, maintain attention to detail, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience
- Civil Litigation and/or Insurance Defense experience (background preferred)
- BI and PIP experience highly desirable
- Prior experience managing attorney calendars/scheduling
- Experience drafting legal documents including standardized letters, pleadings, and reports
- Working knowledge of Florida court procedures
- Familiarity with e-service and e-filing
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines, follow up on items, and be detail oriented
- Goal oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment as part of a team
