About the role
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports
- Conduct basic financial analysis to support business decisions
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
- Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls
- Support internal and external audit processes and manage relationships with auditors
- Support process improvements and leverage technology/automation to streamline accounting processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure data integrity across systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide basic financial insights and recommendations to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience
- Experience in the FMCG industry is a plus
- Prior experience in a GCC or shared services environment is beneficial
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, HFM, Blackline or similar)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
