About the role
- Oversee and manage all financial operations for the India GCC/Development Centre, acting as a strategic partner with a CFO mindset
- Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, corporate tax, and transfer pricing, while optimizing tax strategies
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business objectives and align with global financial goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, HR, IT, Vendors, operations) to align financial strategies with organizational goals
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with Indian GAAP/IFRS and global accounting standards
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, maintain robust internal controls and audit readiness
- Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and banking relationships
- Drive automation and process improvements in financial operations to enhance efficiency and scalability
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; MBA in Finance or equivalent advanced degree is a plus
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience
- At least 2 years in a leadership role managing India finance operations for a GCC or similar setup
- Proven expertise in Indian taxation (GST, TDS, corporate tax, transfer pricing) and regulatory compliance
- Experience acting as a strategic finance leader, with a CFO-level mindset
- Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP/IFRS and global accounting standards
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Preferred certifications: CA (preferred), CPA, CFA, or CMA is a plus
