About the role
- Diagnose and rectify faults on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing across the full product range (small pallet trucks to counterbalance, VNA, and automated trucks).
- Use company IT systems to keep accurate records and place orders.
- Travel to customer sites using company van; provide paid travel “Door to Door”.
- Provide occasional on-call support (paid in addition to salary).
- Liaise with local and national technical support; participate in training and induction programmes.
Requirements
- Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Hydraulics.
- Ideally NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.
- Experience as a vehicle technician, mechanical engineer, forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, or similar role.
- Experience within plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners is desirable.
- Comfortable using IT equipment to keep accurate records and place orders.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (Field and Resident Engineers only).
- Comfortable working autonomously and within a team.
