About the role

  • Identify and prioritize analytic problems across the organization and develop actionable solutions
  • Design advanced modeling and analytical frameworks to support marketing efficiency and optimization (e.g., performance marketing bid models and customer attribution)
  • Partner with the data engineering team to develop data models and integrate new datasets into reporting to support growth marketing
  • Partner with stakeholders in Marketing, Product, and Engineering to define project goals, align on deliverables, and communicate results
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to uncover insights, validate hypotheses, and shape strategic decisions to drive growth
  • Write clear, concise memos and presentations translating technical findings into actionable business insights
  • Maintain a bias toward action and communicate assumptions or caveats to help the business move forward
  • Drive work through structured planning, regular progress updates, and alignment checkpoints with project sponsors
  • Mentor junior analysts and share analytical best practices with peers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in analytics, finance, engineering, or equivalent analytical and marketing experience
  • Prior experience in marketing analytics with a solid understanding of bid optimization, attribution, and performance marketing
  • Experience working with modern data solutions (EX: Looker/Tableau/Power BI/DataBricks/FiveTran)
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for data analysis and transformation
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of independently leading complex projects from scoping to delivery
  • Demonstrated comfort operating in ambiguity, making assumptions explicit, and taking thoughtful risks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate nuanced findings into simple takeaways for a range of audiences
  • Ability to serve as a bridge between technical teams (e.g. Engineering) and business stakeholders by understanding both system architecture and business objectives
  • Strong business intuition and curiosity to proactively identify analytical opportunities
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
  • Background in fintech, insurtech, or other regulated technology industries
  • Must be able to live and work full-time in one of the listed U.S. states and be authorized to work in the U.S.
